Privacy statement

⚠️ Please don't put sensitive information on My Family Hub. That includes medical details, health conditions, allergies, safeguarding or custody information, home addresses, passwords, bank details or anything else you wouldn't want someone else to see.

What we store

  • Your account: email address, name and an encrypted password (or your Google sign-in).
  • What you enter: family name, school, children's first names, year, class, house, colours and avatars, routines, events, packing rules, chores, rewards and ticked tasks.
  • Settings such as your parent PIN, weather town and sleep times.

Keep it to what the service needs. Use first names or nicknames, and never enter sensitive information (see the warning above).

Why we store it

Only to run the service for your family: showing routines and reminders, syncing between your devices and producing your private calendar links. We don't sell your information, show adverts or use it for marketing.

Who can see it

Only the adults in your family who sign in, and anyone using a screen where your family is signed in. Anyone with one of your private calendar links can see the events in it, so only share those links with people you trust.

Other services we use

  • Secure cloud hosting and a database to store your information.
  • Open-Meteo, to fetch weather for the town you choose (only the town is sent).
  • An AI image service, only when you choose to generate a child's avatar. The avatar options you pick are sent to it, not photos.
  • Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service is completely secure. We can't guarantee the security of anything you enter, and you share information at your own risk. See our Terms of use.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your family's information, unless another adult still belongs to that family.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information. To do so, contact us through the website. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and storage

We only use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember screen settings. No tracking or advertising cookies.
